The Asia Art Foundation of New York is proud to launch a new program under its mission to bridge Eastern and Western cultures—the "Sailing Global" Exchange and Lecture Series.
In today’s era of globalization, cultural export has become a crucial pathway for Asian artists and cultural practitioners to broaden their horizons and unlock commercial potential. This series of events will explore how Asian art can strategically position itself in the international market. Topics include “Globalizing Asian Music and Art,” “Taking Cultural IP International,” and “Reviving Traditional Crafts for Global Audiences.” Each session will examine how Asian cultural elements can align with contemporary global trends, how to convert exhibitions into collectible value, and how to navigate overseas pricing strategies and value appreciation—ultimately empowering participants to open international markets while balancing cultural heritage with commercial success.
Each event brings together industry leaders, renowned artists, seasoned scholars, and business elites for keynote speeches, panel discussions, and expert insights. Participants will gain practical strategies and first-hand experience in international expansion. Additionally, by attending or contributing to the Foundation, supporters will be helping to showcase the richness of Asian art on a global stage and fostering deeper cultural fusion and innovation between East and West.
